“People can be really cruel! This poor puppy was abandoned on our doorstep in the middle of the night.” The video posted on TikTok by two brothers, who decided to adopt the sweet little dog, who they called Luna, has gone viral.
It happened at 1.20 in the morning in a house in Nevada, United States: while some abandon their pets in the middle of the street, others prefer to leave them in front of a house door. The “delivery” was made by an individual with a hood, who kept his face down so as not to be filmed by the cameras: in the images he is seen leaving the red pet carrier on the doorstep of Jose Granados’ villa in Las Vegas, to escape immediately.
Granados shared on TikTok (@jay.mua702) the footage captured by his home security camera. Luckily for the pup, who was named Luna, he was out for just over 10 minutes before he saw the footage and immediately brought her inside. After the TikTok video went viral with more than 8 million views, Granados told Newsweek: ‘It was 1 in the morning when my brother woke me up and said someone was outside. He said he heard something. crying. We have two dogs, so she thought one of them was out there. But I knew it wasn’t possible because they slept with me.”
Again Granados: “I took my phone and pulled up our Ring camera, and I saw that there was a red thing and a box on the doorstep. When we went to check, of course we noticed that it was a puppy that had been left behind by someone”. The discovery came as a total shock to Granados. However, the make-up artist couldn’t resist the temptation to provide Luna with a new safe home together with her two dogs who ended up with an unexpected four-legged brother: “Even though we definitely weren’t looking to add another member to our family, there was no It’s no way of giving that puppy the forever home she deserves,” added Granados.
“We have no idea why she was left by us in particular. That’s probably the only question I’d like to know the answer to,” continues the makeup artist, who’s still not sure what race Luna is, but sent a DNA test to find out more about the new family member.
The viral video has more than 1.3 million TikTok likes and over 15,000 comments from people asking for more updates on the puppies to make sure Luna is okay. One person wrote, “That person had enough heart to stop at someone’s door and not leave that puppy in some field or by the side of the road. Thanks for keeping her.” Another user shared a similar perspective, commenting, “When people abandon a puppy at your door it’s because they can’t keep it, and you were the most trusting and loving home.”
