While Scorn receives FSR 2.1more and more games are joining the ranks of titles that support the next generation AMD scaler in its most recent iteration, i.e. version 2.2 of Fidelity FX Super Resolution.
The titles in question will be Need for Speed Unbound and F1 22bringing the total of games that support at least FSR 2 to a good 97. An inexorable growth for a technology that is particularly appreciated by virtue of the significant improvement in the accuracy of the processing of the frames compared to the first generation FSR, albeit with a (minimal) cost in terms of boost in framerate.
The titles that, instead, more generally support the AMD scalers of the FidelityFX Super Resolution series are now 226. Furthermore, UL Solutions also announced that the next update of the benchmark suite will also 3DMark will add support for FSR 2.2 for a new and interesting test called FSR Feature Test, the purpose of which will be to compare images, framerates and therefore performance deltas between the various quality presets.
The implementation on Need For Speed Unbound should be immediate while for the update on F1 22 it will be necessary to wait for January 2023, even if the elephant in the room is called FSR 3, next generation technology that is rumored to have among its weapons also a mechanism similar to the DLSS3 Frame Generation. Its presentation took place during the announcement of the Radeon RX 7900, but the launch date remains unknown.
