Apple has announced a real revolution for the pricing system for content on the App Store. In fact, developers will have the opportunity to choose from over 700 price ranges and tools, which will allow them to determine costs based on the country or geographical area of the store.
But that’s not all, because it will also be possible to manage changes in exchange rates and access other tools.
With the new pricing policy, which is already active today, developers will be able to choose from 900 possibilities: almost 10 times more than in the past. the new system includes 600 new prices to choose from, and 100 price levels ranging from a minimum of 0.29 to a maximum of 10 thousand dollars. However, Apple also gives more choice with incremental increases based on the price range: for example of 0.10 Dollars up to 10 Dollars, 0.50 Dollars up to 10 and 50 Dollars etc.
Developers who publish apps sold on a subscription basis will also be given the option to more easily manage the currency and taxes on the various stores: simply choose the country to automatically generate the prices. For subscription apps with automatic renewal, however, the new system will be effective from spring 2023.
