While it seems that the AirPods Max 2 will wait until the beginning of 2025, a leak heralds the imminent arrival of a new pair of headphones branded Beatsthe Beats Studio Pro. The earphones, in fact, appeared in some lines of code of iOS 16.5.
Specifically, the Beats Studio Pro have been unveiled from the code of the iOS 16.5 Release Candidate. To herald the existence of the headphones were the colleagues of 9to5Macwho have taken care of probing all the code of the new iteration of iOS 16.5, the last before its official release in a stable version over the next week.
According to the code analyzed by 9to5Mac, the Beats Studio Pro will have the ANC feature, or Active Noise cancellation, and the Transparency Mode, both functions already present on the first generation AirPods Max and on Apple’s AirPods Pro 2. This means that the earphones will be placed in the high (very high?) end of the market, even if we do not yet know what their selling price will be.
Also, headphones will support Custom Spatial Audio, which we already saw on last year’s AirPods Pro 2. As for the latter feature, the new generation Beats Studio Pro will be the first Beats product equipped with the function. Like all the company’s other devices, however, the new earphones will also have a USB-C charging port and a custom Beats chip.
From the renderings always published by 9to5Mac and available at the bottom of this news, it emerges that the Beats Studio Pro will be headphones over ear and will have a similar design to the Beats Studio3, launched in 2017 by the company now acquired by Apple. Finally, the images confirm that the headphones will be available in four colors, namely Black, White, Dark Blue and Brown. Finally, the earphones will be made in collaboration with A-Cold-Wall.
