A blizzard that scourges the western part of the state of New York, the storm has already deposited up to almost two meters of snow in some areas, and is arousing fears and several US experts – cited by various media, including CNN – they already speak of a “historic storm” that could lead to deaths.
The heavy snowfalls have already blocked several roads and canceled flights in a period in which people tend to move, on the weekend before Thanksgiving day.
The areas most heavily affected by the snowfall are those of Lake Ontario and north of the city of Buffalo.
State Governor Kathy Hochul yesterday evening assured that teams of workers are working hard to bring the situation under control, praising the ability to anticipate the alarm by the civil protection services of the state of New York.
