Following the issue of Russian citizenship to Edward Snowden, the NSA mole is once again causing discussion. In fact, foreign sources report that Snowden allegedly took the oath to Russiain order to obtain a passport and avoid extradition to the United States of America.
In this regard, as reported by Washington Post And gizmodeowning a Russian passport (and therefore having “completed” citizenship) would be one way to stay away from US authorities. Anatoly Kucheren would have taken care of confirming the exchangethe NSA mole’s lawyer, in an interview with a Russian state media.
Snowden recently hinted on social media that the issue of dual US/Russian citizenship would be related to family and marriage willingness not to leave the children. Put simply, the NSA mole would be looking for “stability” for his family and it was precisely in this context that the news of the alleged exchange linked to the Russian passport arrived.
It should be remembered that Lindsay Mills, Snowden’s wife, fled with him to Russia following the matter of the NSA leaks. In any case, it appears that Snowden’s oath to Russia is related to, we quote verbatim from the source, “to protect the freedom and independence of the Russian Federation, to be loyal to Russia, [e] to respect its culture, history and traditions“. The objective of the NSA mole, however, seems more than anything else to avoid extradition to the United States of America. The controversial story is certainly not going unnoticed, as you can well imagine.
Update at 11:13 03/12/2022: in a tweet posted by Snowdenit is read: “I’m in Russia because the White House intentionally canceled my passport to trap me here. They *shot down the Bolivian President’s diplomatic plane* to prevent me from leaving, and continue to interfere with my freedom of movement. In case it wasn’t clear“.
After years of separation from our parents, my wife and I have no desire to be separated from our SONS.
After two years of waiting and nearly ten years of exile, a little stability will make a difference for my family. I pray for privacy for them—and for us all. https://t.co/24NUK21TAo pic.twitter.com/qLfp47uzZ4

I’m in Russia because the White House intentionally canceled my passport to trap me here. They *downed the President of Bolivia’s diplomatic aircraft* to prevent me from leaving, and continue to interfere with my freedom of movement to this day.
In case that was unclear. https://t.co/hOb2Azc41G
