The past five months have been an emotional roller coaster for Ellie. This four-year-old black and white cat was waiting for an owner; the refuge of the city of Virginia (in the United States) where she lives she had not been able to welcome her because she was already supernumerary.
He then referred her to a charity called Meow Stories, which relies on a network of fosterers to rescue animals and PetSmart stores to showcase them to potential adopters.

And indeed in August Ellie had found an owner. It seemed like the beginning of a dream, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. In fact, shortly after bringing Ellie home, the human who had adopted her began a relationship with a person allergic to cats, which forced the end of Ellie’s favorite habit: jumping on the owner’s bed and sleeping there curled up with him .
The situation soon became untenable; deprived of the opportunity to cuddle and be cuddled, the kitten started crying outside the bedroom door and showing signs of distress. At that point the owner decided he could do without Ellie and hurried him back to a PetSmart store.

Meow Stories has therefore resumed the kitten, but luckily it was only a matter of a few days. Also thanks to Julia Wood, a girl who had noticed Ellie at an event related to adoptions.
Moved by her story, Julia has tweeted some photos of the cat, specifying that it was possible to adopt her through the PetSmart shop. Her tweets went viral and within just two days Ellie found a new home: that of Sammi Schouler, who is delighted to share a bed with her feline friend.
Both Sammi and Ellie couldn’t ask for a better Christmas present.
