In between is the Wikipedia page linked to the Twitter Fileswhich at the time of writing is accessible, for which a potential elimination would also have been discussed.
The issue is intricate and the Hunter Biden case is also involved, but essentially Musk has made several allegations against Wikipedia, stating that the latter would be of a “liberal orientation”. The co-founder of the Wikipedia project Jimmy Wales then thought about answering the question, also dwelling on a “provocation” by Jon Levine of the New York Post, who claimed to ask himself, following Musk’s intervention, “how much Wikipedia would cost” . To this last “question”, Wales replied that Wikipedia is not for sale.
However, as regards i Twitter dataas indicated by TechCrunch, the Irish privacy commissioner would have “set his eyes” on a practice recently implemented by Musk. In fact, the latter would have provided, in some cases, extensive access to Twitter data and systems to third parties. Yes, as you can well imagine, reference is made to the aforementioned Twitter Files, which are being released with the collaboration of some reporters, to whom Musk would seem to have “supplied” everything. The Irish authorities are therefore allegedly investigating this type of data access, obviously for privacy reasons.
Finally coming to the question of shadowban Twitter accountsas reported by PhoneArenaas well as as explained by the same Elon Musk on Twitter on December 9, 2022, a software update is under development that will show users their profile status. In other words, as explained by the CEO, the goal is to make people clearly understand if their account is at the center of a shadowban, as well as to inform them of the motivation behind it all and indicate how to possibly proceed to “do appeal”. If that sounds familiar, the reason is that Instagram recently did the same.
