EVGA’s farewell to the GPU market just a few days before the presentation keynote of the new generation of video cards Nvidia left a bad taste in the mouth of its biggest fans. However, there may still be hope for one lucky collector.
In these hours, in fact, EVGA has created an account on eBay and auctioned off one of the many prototypes that have appeared on the net over the past few weeks. His “Next Gen Graphics“, that means the RTX 4090 FTW3 that has never seen the lighthas been the subject of numerous analyzes including those of a big fan of the brand, the youtuber JayzTwoCents. Unfortunately, all the background is not yet known but according to some information leaked on the net after the company’s announcement, EVGA’s farewell may not be only the fault of NVIDA.
In these hours, Jay has relaunched the auction link, guaranteeing that it is a legitimate and official advertisement despite the zero account feedback.
The value of this video card is very difficult to calculate, being in fact the last example ever produced by EVGA (along with previous and subsequent prototypes with the same graphics chip), but at the time of writing the price has already skyrocketed well beyond the $10,000. All profits at the end of the auction will be donated to charity at St-Jude Children’s Research Hospitalwhile the sale is intended only for the US market.
The winner will have the object as it is and without guarantee, since it is a pre-production sample.
