A 16-year-old student killed one of his teachers, fatally wounding her with stab wounds against the sternum.

Numerous relief and law enforcement officers were sent to the scene where, at first, students were asked to stay in their classrooms. By mid-morning they were then evacuated from the institute. The minister of national education, Pap Ndiaye, in a post on Twitter, expressed his “immense emotion” at what happened.
According to reports from local newspapers, the perpetrator of the murder would suffer from psychiatric disorders and said he was “possessed” while attacking the teacher.
According to the testimony of a student, collected by the French journalist Bleu Pays Basque, the young attacker would have stood up during the lesson, brandishing a white weapon, kept hidden among his notebooks, and would have then blocked the door of the room before heading towards the teacher and stab her in the chest.
The other students fled the classroom in panic.
