If Android 14 will make smartphones “immortal”, already with Android 13 not bad, at least on the “autonomy” side: a new bug, in fact, would appear to lead the Calendar to create random events based on the emails received on GMail.
Highly regarded for its functionality, the Calendar draws from email staff associated with it to create events based on invitations, public transport tickets, hotel reservations and much more. However, in recent days there has been an increase in reports from users who complain about the presence of random events created automatically by emails that do not contain this type of information.
As you can see further down, it is evident that the created event does not meet the requirements of a date to be marked on the calendar, but it is more generally information extracted from a newsletter. On the net, however, reports of this type have also been collected for offers and spam, provided that dates were present within them.
Currently there doesn’t seem to be much that can be done to stop the situation: the hope is that BigG, as always, will act promptly to solve the root of the problema bit like done with the new Chrome update system to reduce bugs starting from the v110 version of the browser.
