iOS 16.2 is now very close to launch, it is already possible to install the new release of Apple’s operating system through the RC that the Cupertino giant made available a few days ago and which is essentially the version that will be published for everyone next week.
For those unaccustomed, the Release Candidates of Apple’s operating systems are the old Golden Masters: these are the latest beta releases before public launchwhich however are characterized by high stability compared to beta 1, 2 or 3. Consequently, their installation most often coincides with the same version which is then made available to classic users in the following days.
L’RC installation is free and open to all: what you have to do is connect to the site beta.apple.com directly from the iPhone, download and then through the menu at the top of the page tap on “Enroll Your Device”. At this point you will have to proceed with the installation of the beta profile, restart the iPhone and when you return move to the Settings, General and Update software app.
However, remember to remove the profile from the “General” tab at the end of the installation, otherwise you will also receive notification of the availability of subsequent releases.
The same procedure obviously also applies to iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.
