Killed by a shot fired from his rifle, his dog would have pulled the trigger. The victim of this incident, which occurred in Turkey, was Ozgur Gevrekoglu, a 32-year-old hunter.
It all happened on the Kizlan plateau, in the Turkish province of Samsun, where the man had gone on a weekend hunting trip. According to the first reconstructions of the local police, who are continuing to investigate, the hunter was letting his dog into the trunk of his car and the animal accidentally pulled the trigger of the still loaded rifle.
The weapon at the time was pointed right at the man who was shot point blank in the stomach and died almost instantly. rescue and transport to Alacam State Hospital were useless. Arriving at the health facility, the doctors could not help but ascertain his death.
A tragic accident, a story that seems incredible and there are also those who, as some local media report, don’t rule out that the dog’s story is just a cover for a murder. It must also be said that, strange as it may be, a similar situation would have already occurred in the past: in 2018, in New Mexico, Sonny Gilligan had been shot, again with a rifle shot, in the back by his dog during a hunt of hunting. But, in that case, the man managed to survive.
