On the occasion of the launch of the new electric-powered models, Nissan brings to the European debut on the X-Trial e-Power and 100% electric Ariya technology 4-ORCE.
This captivating acronym proposed by Nissan actually hides behind the “e”, the presence of a fully electric motor, while “4ORCE” stands for power and all-wheel drive.
The design theme e-4ORCE of the Japanese brand focused on three fundamental aspects: management of electric motors, all-wheel drive system and chassis control technologies.
Nissan e-4ORCE is designed to be combined with e-Power engines
In the case of the X-Trail e-Power on the front axle there is a 204 HP engine while on the rear a 136 HP unit, resulting in a total system power of 213 HP, where the pair of engines never simultaneously deliver their respective maximum power.
In this case, the acceleration is burning, to reach 100 km/h from a standing start it takes 7 seconds, while in the case of the Ariya, the 306V power allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
Performance but also driving safety, the constant distribution of torque and the almost perfect balance of weights between the front and rear axles guarantee maximum handling, stability and predictability of the car on any surface.
The distribution of torque and power between the two electric motors is regulated in ten thousandths of a second, a much faster time than that ensured by traditional systems of mechanical all-wheel drive.
Regenerative braking also on the rear engine offers the double advantage of minimizing vehicle pitching and maximizing battery regeneration. This translates into greater comfort for the driver and passengers, even in the event of sudden braking, and greater battery efficiency and therefore greater range.
