The launch of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti could now be very close, and as expected there are many who speculate on the price of Team Verde’s midrange graphics cardespecially after the numerous criticisms received by the company for the too high cost of the RTX 4080.
A few days ago, a worrying rumor established that the NVIDIA RTX 4070 will cost you $1,000, at least on the Chinese market. Today, however, a new leak reported by colleagues of WCCF Tech indicates that the GPU MSRP could be $899therefore about 100 Dollars less than previous forecasts.
Always WCCFTech explains that it is possible that some custom versions cost up to $849, therefore 50 Dollars less than the MSRP of the Founder’s Edition of NVIDIA, to be more competitive on the market, especially after the launch of the new generation AMD graphics cards. The price chosen by NVIDIA, however, does not seem to be random: it is in fact the same MSRP initially foreseen for the RTX 4080 12 GB, then last canceled by NVIDIA.
This means that, most likely, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will be a simple one rebranding of the “old” RTX 4080 12 GB, of which it will therefore take both the price and the technical specifications. In theory, this means that the price-performance ratio of the RTX 4070 Ti should be much better than that of the RTX 4080 in its current version, but still worse than that of the RTX 4090.
In terms of performance, however, the RTX 4070 Ti will be slightly cheaper than RTX 3090 Ti of last generation. However, it is difficult to say whether the card will be competitive on the market: for many fans, the most suitable price for a medium or medium-high range GPU should be between 800 and 750 Dollars, therefore about 100 Dollars less than the MSRP expected by NVIDIA.
