By now, OnePlus’s willingness to cross the border of the smartphone and wearable market, to which it has dedicated itself in recent years, is evident. While waiting for the much-rumored Android tablet, the brand has not only anticipated the launch of two gaming monitors, but also confirmed the realization of a mechanical keyboard.
According to what was also taken up by Android Police colleagues, Pete Lau’s brand has confirmed in these hours the will to launch an international mechanical keyboard created in collaboration with Keychronone of the most established brands in the sector for the quality of its products and the variety of solutions offered, from compact models (also called Tenkeyless or TKL) to traditional keyboards, passing through low-profile formats and with ALICE layouts.
This OnePlus-branded mechanical keyboard has no other known details other than the launch in 2023; in the first weeks of next year, however, the Chinese company should share more information about the device with the public.
It is also unclear which markets will be able to access the OnePlus mechanical keyboard when it is launched. In all likelihood it will arrive in India, where the company is betting a lot of chips to conquer consumers among smartphones, smartwatches, the aforementioned monitors and even televisions. At the same time, the launch in the United States and in the Old Continent is unlikely, where OnePlus is renowned and controls a good share of the market but does not bring all the devices presented globally.
In a nutshell, it will be necessary to wait a little longer before finding out if and when this mechanical keyboard will arrive in stores.
Speaking of the same brand, we also know the possible launch period of the first OnePlus tablet.
