When, last week, we told you about OPPO’s plans for 2023, which should go through the launch of Find X6 in the first half of the year and that of Find N Fold for the next half, there seemed to be no no space for the Find N Flip clamshell. Today, however, the clamshell leaflet appeared online with a sensational video.
The video was posted on Twitter by the user Rodent950which explains that what is being filmed is theOPPO Find N Flip, clamshell smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The device has been rumored for many months now, and should be launched in parallel with OPPO Find N2 (or Find N Fold), during 2023. The existence of a working prototype of the smartphone, however, seems to suggest that the announcement of the device could happen much sooner than expected.
As you can see from the video, the smartphone is very similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, if not for one substantial difference: OPPO Find N Flip will have a screen with almost no central fold. Not only that: the smartphone will also be much thinner and lighter than the clamshell Samsung, reducing both the thickness and the weight compared to the competing device.
In addition, it seems that Find N Flip will have a larger external screen compared to the Korean giant’s clamshell smartphone. In fact, the question of the external screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been one of the most heartfelt (and criticized) by fans, so much so that the very first rumors about Galaxy Z Flip 5 speak of a larger screen than that of its predecessor.
Finally, the images of the smartphone’s exterior confirm the presence of two large 50MP lenses for the smartphone, which could bring the OPPO folding camera closer to that of the top of the range of the same brand.
