Moscow supports Iran in the match against the United States at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Russian embassy in Tehran published a statement on its Telegram channel expressing Moscow’s support for the Iranian national team in the match against the USscheduled tonight for the World Cup.
“Moscow supports the Iranian national team ahead of the decisive football match against the United States at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar,” the Russian embassy statement read. The national teams of Iran and the United States will play their group stage match tonight at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha. Iran are currently runners-up in Group B after two games, having suffered a 6-2 defeat by England in their opening game on 21 November and winning 2-0 against Wales on 25 November.
