Since late June, an unnamed government agency has blocked websites supporting the “new leader of the new Russia”, Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, as a candidate for the Russian presidency.
Since June 28, seven sites with the domain “p2024” (presidential 2024) have been blocked. The blackout affects all domains and subdomains. The reason and the entity that imposed the blackout are not specified. All of the blacked-out sites are copies of the same portal campaigning for Prigozhin ahead of the 2024 Russian presidential election.
“To save Russia, be ready to support Prigozhin. The new leader of the new Russia,” the websites indicate.
On the election poster with Prigozhin’s portrait there is also the election slogan: “Shoot, aiming well. To work honestly”.
