Vladimir Solovyov, a Russian state TV hostduring a broadcast in recent days he heavily railed against Elon Musk for his support for Ukraine with Starlink.
As many of you will remember, Elon Musk activated Starlink in Ukraine in the hours after Russia’s invasion started, and the satellite platform proved to be essential for the exchange of military information and for users.
Solovyov bluntly condemned the support of Elon Musk to Ukraine, and stated that “in principle he is a war criminal. That technology and those satellites that it supplies to Ukraine, as well as terminals, are used to create attack drones of varying degrees of power”.
The video of the broadcast was translated and posted on Twitter by the Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashencko, and has elicited the reaction of Elon Musk who, in response to Zelensky’s executive representative wanted to clarify that “Starlink does not allow its services to be used for long-range drone strikes”, claiming that “Starlink has become the backbone of connectivity in Ukraine right up to the front lines”.
In short, the clash seems to be open and the times when Elon Musk proposed a peace plan for Ukraine are long gone.
