We have recently concluded our first round of tests with the review of the Ryzen 7900X and 7600X with mixed feelings, in light of excellent performance but with a not too marked generational leap: yet, this evaluation could change very soon.
The first appointment of the new year should now be the pre-established setting for the presentation of the new CPUs with 3D V-Cache technology. Lisa Su has already said that AMD will be at CES 2023 with a keynote set for January 4: exactly one month from this date, the rumors about the arrival of these processors are becoming more numerous and frequent.
According to the latest rumors, there will be three Ryzen 7000X3Ds, all obviously with Zen4 architecture “3D“. There is talk of a 16-core unit, a 12-core unit and an 8-core unit. Of the three, only the SKU of the last one is still under discussion, with runoff between 7700X3D and 7800X3D.
The 16 Core and 32 Thread processor should therefore be the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, flanked by the 12 Core and 24 Thread Ryzen 9 7900X3D, following the specification table of the standard models hand in hand. Curiously, contrary to what happened with the Ryzen 7 5800X3Din this case also the frequencies should be the same.
Another very interesting aspect concerns the possible date of arrival on the shelves. If CES 2023 is given almost certainly as a presentation scenario, in fact, for the final launch it should take a few weeks. To be exact, the date to circle on the calendar should be January 23, 2023.
