Elodie is a cat who has taken Tam, a 9-year-old dog who suffers from various health problems, to heart with her massages. The kitty and other small felines at Ferme Refuge Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir (Sara), Morocco, have shown that they have a big heart, dedicating themselves to supporting other friends in need of comfort.
The sick and visually impaired dog is one of the main beneficiaries of this sweet and loving attention. He was born at Ferme Refuge Sara and has always lived in that refuge, where he is lovingly cared for and pampered. Sadly, Tam is nearly blind and suffers from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a genetic disease that causes excessive flexibility of the joints and skin, as well as poor wound healing.
His physical condition greatly affects his psychology, and he is often found to be down in the dumps. In those moments, he gets close to his shelter partner, Daccia, who shares the same Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and with whom he gets along very well.
But it’s not just Daccia who offers comfort to Tam. Elodie and the other shelter cats also gather around him, reassuring him and showing him that he’s not alone. The felines take care of him, offering hugs and massages, and often sit with him in his basket, creating a loving company for Tam.

Hazel Skeet, a volunteer at Sunshine Animal Refuge Agadir, says all the cats adore Tam and show their affection for him. Despite the number of cats in the shelter, it seems that Tam is the most loved dog, as the felines recognize his kindness and tranquility. Tam has become a perfect pillow for cats to nap and deeply appreciates the affection and closeness they show him.

In this welcoming place, anyone who takes a seat is immediately surrounded by cats, but it is Tam who is the most popular among them. The sweetness of this dog is evident to the felines, and his calm presence reassures and fascinates them. Tam and the cats have created a special bond that demonstrates how precious solidarity between different animal species is, especially in a place dedicated to the welfare and support of animals in need.
