We have long talked about the importance of Starlink activation in Ukraine on these pages, as it has allowed citizens and military of citizens to communicate even during the shelling of the Russian army. However, the American company has recently raised its prices.
As explained by the Financial Times, the Starlink’s price list has almost doubled in Ukrainedue to grid problems and increased demand.
THE Starlink terminals (which as known are produced by Elon Musk’s SpaceX) have come to cost up to 700 Dollars for new customers, almost double the approximately 385 Dollars requested at the beginning of the year. This decision has caused many perplexities on social networks, where users have published comparison screenshots.
THE costs of the monthly subscription to Starlink in recent weeks they have fluctuated: on August 24th they went to 60 Dollars from the previous 100 Dollars and then went back up to 75 Dollars.
The same newspaper noted that prices have also soared in neighboring Poland, which many Ukrainians turn to for deliveries due to the obvious problems with the internal postal system. In other countries of the Old Continent, however, there are no changes to the price list.
A few weeks ago Elon Musk had threatened to shut down Starlink in Ukraine, asking for help from the Pentagon. However, the CEO of Twitter subsequently retraced his steps.
