A Christmas miracle, as Dean Hamilton called it when he managed to hug his lost dog again after seven long months of searching. The miracle, in a certain sense, is also called “microchip”.
Dean was traveling to California for a series of medical tests he needed to undergo when his car broke down on Highway 99. , his assistance dog, probably attracted by food trucks, wandered away from the car. Since then the man has completely lost track of him. He contacted shelters, animal protection associations, anyone who could help him find his puppy. He stayed in California until he ran out of money, he slept in his car for a full two months looking for the Angus. Then, he had to go back to Florida to take care of his mother. But he hasn’t given up hope.
A few days ago a phone call: Angus is alive and well and wants to go home. The dog was found in Clovis, California, not far from where he was lost, local agents checked his microchip through which they tracked Dean down and told him the good news. Now, the only obstacle that remained for the reunification was the distance: from California to Florida in fact is no small amount.
