The pain, the memory, the anger and the desire for justice. There are many feelings that Andrea Combi’s family is experiencing. All this after someone’s cruel hand ended the life of their dog Snoopy, killed by bait packed with rat poison. It all happened in Colico, in the province of Lecco, in a public garden. A normal walk, a moment of sharing for a person with his beloved animal that turns into a tragedy: the 13-year-old Beagle eats something and shortly after feels bad. What seems immediately clear is confirmed by the autopsy results that arrive a few days later: “Cause of death poisoning with rat bait”.

And so the pain becomes anger: “Man’s infamy has no boundaries….to that infamous man or woman, I wish the worst of evils!!! To him/her and to the family!!”. But also a thirst for justice, to know who thought up and created that deadly trap and to be able to punish him with the tools of justice. So Mr. Combi decides to “put a bounty”, with the aim of discovering who is responsible. “To anyone who helps us to give an exemplary punishment to this / this vile, unworthy, filthy person – he writes on Facebook – the Combi family is ready to guarantee a tribute / gift of 50,000, fifty thousand euros”.
But that post also contains a short message, a greeting for a beloved dog and with which the Combi family has shared 13 years together: “Hello my great friend !!! Thanks for the splendid company of these thirteen years spent together !! Definitely a day we will meet again for many walks and many runs in the meadows and in the woods …. I wish you and you deserve a paradise full of bresaola”. A paradise that his murderer does not deserve.
