A video released by Ukrainian and Russian social media shows the vast fire that broke out during the night in the workers’ huts near Sevastopol: these are the houses where the workers who are building the Tavrida motorway live: a strategic stretch, because the infrastructure leads up to to the Crimean bridge, which connects the peninsula occupied by Moscow to the Kuban (Russia).
According to Russian sources, at least 7 people would have died, the flames would have spread over an area of 200 square meters: “In total, about 100 people live here, the builders of the highway”, so in the commentary on the video on Ukrainian social networks.
The Russian Federation opened this route in 2020, to connect Kerch, Simferopol and Sevastopol.
