The Vicenza prosecutor’s office is investigating a case of alleged false vaccinations against the coronavirus carried out by a local doctor, in which two famous people are also involved: the singer Madame (stage name of Francesca Calearo) and the tennis player Camila Giorgi. The investigation had begun in December 2021, when the management of Ulss 8 Berica had reported a large and anomalous number of vaccinations against the coronavirus performed in the clinic of Dr. Daniela Grillone Tecioiu, a general practitioner with a practice in Vicenza.
After almost three months of investigations and wiretaps, at the end of February Grillone Tecioiu was arrested together with his partner Andrea Giacoppo and his colleague Volker Erick Goepel, accused of corruption for acts contrary to official duties, ideological falsehood committed by a public official in public deeds and embezzlement. According to the Vicenza prosecutor’s office, the three arrested allegedly pretended to vaccinate hundreds of people, guaranteeing them the green pass necessary at the time to access public places and the workplace.
The three were later released from prison pending trial, but the investigation continued. In the meantime, the investigators have questioned Grillone Tecioiu several times and have included another twenty people among the people under investigation who allegedly obtained the green pass illegally: among these are doctors, nurses and pharmaceutical promoters, as well as the singer Madame and Camila Giorgi, all accused of false ideology.
Madame lives in Creazzo, in the province of Vicenza, and Grillone Tecioiu was her general practitioner at the time of the disputed facts, while Giorgi lives in the Marches, and it immediately seemed anomalous to the investigators that her name appeared among the patients in the clinic Vicenza.
According to what was revealed by sources of the prosecutor al Vicenza newspaper, both Madame and Giorgi, moreover, would have obtained the vaccination certificate without even showing up in Grillone Tecioiu’s studio. In fact, at the beginning of the investigation, hidden cameras were inserted in the clinic to verify the allegations, and neither the singer nor the tennis player appear on the dates corresponding to their vaccination certificates.
At the moment neither Madame nor Camila Giorgi have commented on the story. There is a lot of talk about the former, above all because his participation in the next Sanremo Festival is expected, scheduled from 7 to 11 February.
The host and artistic director Amadeus said on the radio Rtl 102.5 that, given the presumption of innocence, there is no reason to exclude the singer from the race. «But I think that until one is found guilty one is innocent, so let’s wait to see what happens from here to the Festival. To date, Madame is in the competition and I hope everything goes well between now and the Festival. Also because it would be a pity that the public cannot hear her song ».
