Lauren S. Hissrich, showrunner of the series on Netflix based on the novels of The Witcher, has recently issued new statements, this time referring to some of the new monsters that will be visible during the first season of the show.
“It’s funny because the monsters are huge in The Witcher, but in reality it is one of the things that we are trying as much as possible to keep out the teaser and the trailer,” said Hissrich.
“We think that it can be a great element of surprise for the fans who don’t know with which stories, and what monsters we are working on. In addition, there are a couple of new creatures which we have created based on the folklore of Polish”.
The Witcher, the fantasy series based on the eponymous saga bestseller, is the epic tale of a family and its fate. Geralt of Rivia, a lone hunter of monsters, struggle to find their place in a world where people often prove to be the most evil of beasts.
His destiny will become one with it one of a powerful witch and a young princess with a dangerous secret. The three will cross together a world that is increasingly unstable.
We remind you that the first season of The Witcher will debut on Netflix on 20th December and will last eight episodes.
