There were Wednesday mornings two explosions in Jerusalem near two public transport stops: one person was killed and at least 18 were injured. The first explosion took place near a stop at the entrance to a highway very busy with commuters entering the city every day, the second in the northern district of Ramot. Police said they suspected an attack by Palestinians, but no further information has been released so far. According to the first information released by the Israeli authorities, the explosions were carried out using remotely controlled devices.

In recent months, tensions between Israel and Palestine in the occupied West Bank have grown, also due to the continuous Israeli police actions which were followed by several attacks by Palestinians. On Tuesday, the Palestinian authorities denounced the killing of a 16-year-old boy by the Israeli army in the occupied city of Nablus.
