Every month Steam conducts a survey through the PC client to compile statistics on the trend of PC gamers. The latest survey we dealt with saw Windows 11 increasingly used for gaming; the most recent update of the survey, on the other hand, shows that there is a new NVIDIA GPU topped the chart of the most used cards.
The results of the November 2022 hardware survey are very clear: the first graphics card RTX 30 is in fourth place and it is not even among the best performing, being the RTX 3060 Laptop. The first model designed for desktop platforms is positioned in sixth place and is the RTX 3060, however, down by 2.06% compared to the month of October.
The Top 3 instead consists, in order, of GeForce GTX 1650, GeForce GTX 1060 and GeForce RTX 2060: the queen of the GTX 1060 chart was therefore ousted by the slower Turing GPU without RTX support, even less powerful than the iconic 1060. The market share of the GeForce GTX 1650 is 6.27% to be exact, up from 0.66%; conversely, the other two video cards are down 1.85% and 1.46% respectively.
This ranking shows that the XX50 and XX60 series are still the most popular choice among Steam players, thanks to the lowest market prices. With the chip crisis fading away and cryptocurrency miners uninterested in buying video cards in bulk, who knows if in the future we will see a takeover by the RTX 30 and RTX 40 series. At the same time, it will be interesting to monitor L’possible share growth for new AMD and Intel GPUstoday still positioned rather behind in the overall global ranking.
But returning to talk about NVIDIA, just today the company has launched many Christmas offers on video cards and PCs.
