The alleged perpetrator of the ambush in which two young girls they have been stabthis morning at 7.30, in a town in the German land of Bade Wurttenberg, on their way to school.
The students, aged 13 and 14, are hospitalized and their conditions are described as “serious“. The town of about 4,700 inhabitants, Illerkirchbergwhere the attack took place, is located in the Alb-Donau district near Ulm, between Stuttgart and Munich. Eyewitnesses immediately called the police and an ambulance, which went to the scene for first aid and the transfer of the two teenagers to hospital.
According to reports in the German press, it has not yet been established whether there is a link between the suspect and the two victims, nor whether there could be a motive for such a violent attack. The attacker fled to a residential building, apparently a refugee accommodation. It is not yet clear if he lives there. Police surrounded the building, stormed it and arrested all residents, including the suspected attacker.
