There Russia has built an almost continuous trench system along the 60 kilometers leading from Svatovein the occupied Luhansk region, north of the city of Luhansk, up to the Russian border, reports the British Ministry of Defense in its daily war update bulletin. However, it is not clear how deep these trenches are. Elite troops of the 1st Guards Tank Army are deployed near Svatove, but it suffered heavy losses, including during the retreat from Kharkiv last September. “Now it has been partially reinforced with mobilized reservists even if it remains well below 25,000 units”, it is specified.
