The Ukrainian authorities reported on Thursday that Widespread power outages were reported again in and around the capital Kiev, a measure they called “necessary” to try to repair the network and avoid accidents. The energy company Dtek has urged the population to remain “quiet and calm” while workers try to “do everything possible to repair the damage” caused by Russian attacks on the territory, according to the Ukrinform agency.
The Russian attack on November 23 caused the blackout of all nuclear power plants in the area, and most of the thermal and hydroelectric ones. The Russian forces, in fact, have the country’s energy structures as the main objective of their offensive, especially in the bombings carried out since the beginning of October. The Ukrainian government has since decided to introduce scheduled power outages to repair the facilities.
The chairman of Ukraine’s state energy company, Volodimir Kudritski, explained that the country will be able to resume its schedule of scheduled power outages this week if there is no more bombing.
“ROCKETS OVER SCHOOL AT KRAMATORSK” – “Sixty of our defenders freed from Russian captivity: 58 boys and two women were released”. Meanwhile, the major archbishop of Kiev made it known in thanking “those who have worked for this umpteenth liberation of our soldiers, our defenders, because even today 60 families rejoice in the return of their loved ones”.
Sviatoslav Shevchuk in the video message refers to a shocking event in Kramatorsk: “In Malotaranivka the school has organized a point of invincibility, that is, a place where the local population can be allowed to warm up, recharge their mobile phones and have some hot tea. The Russians, therefore, they fired three rockets at this school. It is obvious that this is another war crime that shows the cynicism with which the enemy today seeks to destroy the civilian population, to break our invincibility”.
