There will be “rewards” for Russian soldiers who “destroy or capture” Western Abrams or Leopard 2 tanks that several countries have announced they will supply to Ukraine. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by the Tass news agency.
“As for all these tanks, as we have already said, they will obviously be burned and even more if there are incentives of this kind. I think they will be even more enthusiastic,” Peskov said, commenting on the initiative of the governor of Transbaikalia, Alexander Osipov, who has promised a bonus of 3 million rubles (about 39,000 euros) for the capture of German and American tanks in Ukraine.
