Oleksii Reznikov’s role as defense minister of Ukraine is at risk, a post from which he could be removed next week. The Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainska Pravda writes it citing government and military sources. He could be replaced by Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Ukrainian military intelligence agency Hur, according to sources. “I have not had any talks about my resignation from this position,” Reznikov said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda to be published soon.
An anonymous source confirmed to the Kyiv Independent that Reznikov is very likely to be replaced soon. Reznikov could be given a new job, perhaps as Minister of Justice. And this is because “no one in the presidential office has any doubts” that Reznikov should remain in government, continues Ukrainska Pravda.
