While the overheating problems for the Radeon RX 7900 continue to be discussed, a new analysis of a Swiss store highlights another aspect of the “video cards” factor that could be particularly dear to enthusiasts.
We speak, in particular, of the degree of reliability understood in percentages of “return” for defective products after purchase. The ranking published by Digitec takes into consideration products of various kinds, including professional ones. It is no coincidence, therefore, that in first place with a return rate of 0% there is Della brand known for its great experience and design capabilities.
Follow, with a rate of less than 1%, producers such as AsRock, Gainward, Inno3D, Palit, HP and PNY. On the other hand, however, the “worst” performances are offered by XFX and Sapphire, followed immediately by the AMD reference products, all above 2% for the most varied reasons but it must certainly not be a case that even the partners mentioned fall under the red team umbrella.
In the range between 1% and 2% we find the rest of the team, with MSI, Zotac and Asus which seem to perform surprisingly if one thinks of their diffusion rate. Just below AMD, however, with 1.8%, we find Gigabyte.
Continuing with the analysis, another essential point for users concerns the time to wait before having their product back in their hands. Sapphire reigns supreme here which takes just 3 days from receipt of the goods to return to the user, while all the other brands take a minimum of 9 days to process the products returned for lack of conformity, while brands like AsRock and Dell are to be excluded from the equation due to the impossibility of setting real statistics in this sense.
The speech on motherboards is very different, where the best for reliability is MSI, followed soon after by Asus and Gigabytewhile processing times in this case are dominated by the latter with just 3 days. This intriguing statistic comes just one month after the release of hardware factory defect frequency data from a Philippine retailer, which they collected over the past four years.
