Volvo Trucks is the leader in the electric heavy-duty vehicle segment in Europe and North America,
With more than 5,000 trucks sold in 40 countries, the truck maker sees a first quarter to be remembered, Volvo Trucks now also makes its range available in new markets such as Asia, Latin America and Africa.
In the first quarter of 2023, the Scandinavian brand sold a total of 600 electric vehicles weighing 16 tons, more than those registered in Europe, an increase equal to 4 times the same period in 2022.
Volvo Trucks is the North American leader in the heavy truck market
A significant increase in orders also in the first quarter of 2023, 486 electric trucks were ordered for an increase compared to the same period of 2022 of 141%, Volvo Trucks added three new models to its range of 44-tonne heavy trucks last year:

●VolvoFM
●Volvo FMZ.
To meet the ever-growing demand, the Scandinavian brand is increasing production in three plants: in Gothenburg in Sweden, in Blainville in France and in New River Valley in the United States.
Also planned is a new production in Belgium, in the Volvo plant in Ghent.
