Whatsapp has announced the global rollout of the feature that will allow users to send messages to themselves. Simply called “Message Yourself”the feature allows you to send messages and opens the doors of the app to various uses.
For example, you can use conversation for notes, memos, lists but also to transfer files between two different devices.
Meta has announced that the ability to send messages to yourself on Whatsapp will be available to all Android and iOS users over the next few weeks. The rollout as always will be gradual but it has already started.
The feature has been tested for a long time with subscribers to the Whatsapp beta program, and is now finally ready to land on the smartphones of millions of people. With this novelty, the messaging application fills a hole that had been created with many competing apps: Signal has a function called “Note to Self” that allows you to create messages for personal use.
When the function is enabled on your Whatsapp account, you will see your name in the contact list: just click on it to start a conversation.
At the same time, an important novelty for the state has also emerged from the latest Whatsapp beta, where voice notes can also be attached in the near future.
