After discovering that Xiaomi 13 does not actually exist and has been replaced by Xiaomi 14, arriving in early December, new, important confirmations on the technical specifications of the top of the Xiaomi rangewhich could be equipped with a very interesting chipset and RAM.
A benchmark on GeekBench, found and reported by GizmoChinaindeed explains that Xiaomi 14 will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC by Qualcomm. This is a welcome confirmation, which however does not add anything new to what we know about the smartphone: the same CEO of Xiaomi Lei Jun, about ten days ago, had already announced that Xiaomi 14 Pro would have fitted the new Qualcomm SoC.
More interesting is instead that the model of Xiaomi 14 tested has 12GB RAM: it is therefore probable that the smartphone will be launched with at least two cuts of RAM, respectively 8 GB and 12 GB, while Xiaomi 14 Pro could be limited to only 12 GB. Furthermore, the device whose benchmark was published uses the MIUI 14 Custom ROM, based on Android 13: in recent days, in fact, it had already emerged that MIUI 14 and Xiaomi 14 would be launched together in the first days of December.
Turning now to the actual benchmark, Xiaomi’s new generation smartphone has reached i 1,497 Points in Single-Core and 5,089 Points in Multi-Core: a good result, which could even be further increased by Xiaomi 14 Pro. On the other hand, it is difficult that this score can be adjusted upwards in the definitive version of the “basic” smartphone, since the one tested appears to be a sample of manufacturing of the device.
